The return window begins on the date you receive your item. Items must be returned in their original condition.

What Can Be Returned

Returnable Items

  • Fine art prints
  • Canvas prints
  • Framed prints
  • Original artwork (within 14 days)
  • Damaged or defective items (any time)

Non-Returnable Items

  • Custom commission pieces
  • Personalized or custom-ordered items
  • Digital downloads (if applicable)
  • Items damaged due to mishandling
  • Items outside the return window

Return Conditions

To qualify for a return, items must meet the following conditions:

  • Unused & Undamaged: Item must be in the same condition you received it
  • Original Packaging: All original packaging materials must be included
  • Proof of Purchase: Receipt or order confirmation required
  • Complete: All accessories, documentation, and materials included
Important: Items that show signs of use, damage, or wear may not be accepted for return or may be subject to a restocking fee.

How to Initiate a Return

Contact Us

Email us at admin@carriebarlatier.com with your order number and reason for return. Include photos if the item is damaged.

Get Authorization

We'll send you a Return Authorization (RA) number and return shipping instructions within 24-48 hours.

Pack Securely

Pack the item carefully using the original packaging. Include the RA number inside the package and write it on the outside.

Ship It Back

Ship the item to the address provided. We recommend using a trackable shipping method and purchasing shipping insurance.

If the return is due to our error, we'll provide a prepaid return shipping label or reimburse your return shipping costs.

Refund Process

Timeline

  • Inspection: 2-3 business days after we receive your return
  • Refund Processing: 3-5 business days after approval
  • Bank Processing: 5-10 business days for refund to appear in your account

What's Refunded

  • Full Refund: Purchase price of the item
  • Original Shipping: Refunded if item was damaged or incorrect
  • Return Shipping: Reimbursed if return was due to our error
Refund Method: Refunds are issued to the original payment method. You'll receive an email confirmation once your refund is processed.

Exchanges

We're happy to exchange items for a different size, color, or product of equal or lesser value. The exchange process follows the same steps as a return:

  1. Contact us to request an exchange
  2. Return the original item following our return process
  3. Once we receive and inspect the returned item, we'll ship your exchange

Additional Cost: If the exchange item costs more, you'll be charged the difference. If it costs less, we'll refund the difference.

Damaged or Defective Items

If you receive a damaged or defective item:

  • Contact us immediately (preferably within 48 hours of delivery)
  • Provide photos of the damage, including packaging
  • Keep all materials until we've reviewed your claim

We'll offer one of the following solutions:

Full Refund

Complete refund including shipping

Partial Refund

Discount if you wish to keep item

Custom Commissions

Custom commission pieces are non-refundable as they are created specifically for you.

However, we work closely with you throughout the commission process:

  • Approval of initial sketches/proofs before final artwork
  • Updates and photos during the creation process
  • One round of minor revisions included in commission price
  • Final approval before shipping
If you're not satisfied with your commission during the approval stages, we'll work with you to make adjustments until you're happy with the result.
